I just noticed that Joseph Barbera, who passed away on Monday, has a cartoon in the Prelinger archives: Make Mine Freedom.

Although the archive.org page doesn't list them, and the cartoon itself does not contain director credits, the IMDB credits William Hanna and Barbera as directors. RIP.

I'm not sure these credits are correct. The film was produced by John Sutherland Productions (not by MGM) as the IMDB entry shows, and I don't think Hanna and Barbera worked for Sutherland.

The IMDB is full of wishful thinking when it comes to nontheatrical film credits.

Sheesh, if that's the case, I'll just rely on Wikipedia for dependable information then.

;)

PS, Happy Christmas Rick!

I have a feeling Hanna and Barbera would not have felt at home working on a Harding College project anyhoo. There were some some subversive things in Tom and Jerry, Flinstones, etc. "Make Mine Freedom" just doesn't fit.
